Finance Wales has announced a dedicated £5 million Environmental Fund following the results of an independent review to evaluate the needs of Welsh businesses.

Rhian Pugh, Environmental Fund Manager for Finance Wales, explained “Following research with organisations across the whole of Wales, the previous Renewable Energy Fund will now incorporate a broader remit and new features which will include projects that fall within the wider activities of Environmental Goods and Services.

Britain’s first urban regeneration fund, Igloo Regeneration Partnership, has been chosen as the private sector development partner for the £200 million redevelopment of Cardiff Bay’s Roath Basin. Igloo, established in 2002 is managed by Morley Fund Management, which currently has in excess of £17 billion of property investment funds under management.
