Admiral sets sail for Newport

CHARTIST TRIBUTE UNVEILED
An impressive 8 metre tall sculpture of a Chartist protester striding towards Newport with pike in hand has become a new Blackwood landmark.
The towering figure is situated on a roundabout at the entrance to the Chartist Bridge on the Sirhowy Enterprise Way between Oakdale and Blackwood.

NEW ROAD CONNECTS COMMUNITIES
A new section of road connecting the communities of Aberbargoed and Bargoed has opened to traffic this week.

CLEAN, GREEN TRIBRID MINIBUS – A FIRST FOR EUROPE
A carbon free minibus powered by three different green technologies – the first of its kind in Europe – will be unveiled and officially launched in Wales.
The clean, green emission free tribrid bus is the result of an international collaboration, led and co-ordinated in Wales by the University of Glamorgan with funding from the Energy Savings Trust, sponsorship from the Welsh Assembly Government and the support of industry.
