Three innovative business ventures in the Caerphilly county borough are to receive financial support thanks to a new grant scheme aimed at giving the rural economy a boost.
The 2009 Innovation Awards, now in their third year, showcase and reward the most innovative businesses in the area. Businesses gain recognition for doing things differently or imaginatively that has had a dramatic and beneficial impact on their development and / or the region or beyond.
Speaking before an assembled group of customers, suppliers and other dignitaries which included Carwyn Jones AM for Bridgend and Councillor Mel Nott, Leader of Bridgend County Borough Council, the First Minister talked about the opening of TES’ original offices at the Valley’s Innovation Centre in Abercynon in 2001.
