Sony delivers hi-tech jobs boost for Bridgend
Sony UK Technology Centre in Pencoed has also been chosen as the manufacturing base for the first generation of Sony high definition professional camcorder systems. Pencoed will also host the company’s European service and repair centre for digital cameras and camcorders.
The twin investments are expected to create more than 40 highly-skilled jobs and are a considerable coup.

Buy as you View locates head office in Bridgend
ELECTRICAL goods and furniture retailer Buy As You View (BAYV) has chosen Bridgend as the new location for its Head Office.
The company, which started as a high street retailer and rental business in 1972 now serves more than 100,000 customers across the UK. It has established its South Wales head office at the Kingsway Buildings on Bridgend Industrial Estate.

£15.5M INVESTMENT MARKS THE LAUNCH OF TAKAO WALES DIVISION
Takao Wales Division was officially launched with the opening of a £15.5 million state-of-the-art press / stamping facility at Ebbw Vale.
The Japanese automotive component manufacturer which supplies vehicle body parts to Honda and Toyota has already created more than 120 jobs as a result of the investment.
